Charged not once, but THREE times, at East Point ERP cashcard carpark

STOMPer Pat says that he was charged thrice at East Point carpark, and wonders if there is a problem with cashcards these days, or with carpark equipment.

Says the STOMPer:

“Visited East Point carpark on the evening of July 2 and was charged three times instead of once when exiting the carpark.

“Upon clarifying with the carpark attendant, he was unable to verify my claims as his system showed a normal deduction of only $1.07.

“Upon verifying the transaction history statement from the ATM, it was confirmed that three deductions were made at the carpark exit!

“The attendant confirmed the statement’s deductions, and was also puzzled at the triple deductions.

“With the increasing numbers of ERP-style deduction for carpark charges, are there any safeguards against such occurrences and how reliable are the systems?

“From the recent cashcard errors, is this a cashcard or carpark equipment problem?

“Maybe the experts would like to enlighten fellow STOMPers?”
