Temporary panic ensued at Punggol Field when a Mazda carrying a family collided with an on-coming Mercedes Benz cab.
A large crowd gathered at the traffic junction Punggol Field after the head-on collision. It is unclear when the accident occured but an ambulance arrived at the scene and conveyed a man and a woman to the hospital. The couple were travelling with a child as well. In an email dated July 8, Vic says: “This was at Punggol Field. “An accident happened between a Mercedes taxi and Mazda at Punggol Field. “They were in an odd position after colliding head-on with each other. “I did not witness the accident, just the aftermath of the accident. “A woman badly hurt in the accident, so was the Mazda driver. There was also a child in the car. “The taxi driver was unhurt. “I think the most likely cause is someone was beating the red lights.” STOMP has contacted the sender for more details.
