Drain cover with large gap in Yishun is a hazard to pedestrians

This drain cover has a missing slat, posing a risk to pedestrians in the area. A STOMPer says she has passed on feedback to the relevant authorities but nothing has been done until now.
In an email today (July 27) the annoyed STOMPer wrote:
“This is simply an accident waiting to happen.

“It’s a busy walkway with school children and elderly frequently walking by.

“Someone may just fall because of this gap on the drain cover. I’ve sent feedback to the LTA in March 2009 but nothing has been done till now.

“Are the authorities aware of this prior to my feedback? Is it contractor negligence or someone else’s fault ? I seriously hope by posting this here, someone can do a thorough and stringent check.

“If the authority is not aware of this prior my feedback, how come they didn’t notice this during the scheduled inspection?

“The defect has been there for more than half a year.”
