Missing exit sign on car park is an accident waiting to happen

A STOMPer noticed that the exit signboard in this multi-storey car park at Pasir Ris has been missing for more than three weeks. She informed an officer about this on Jul 15.

According to the STOMPer, this multi-storey car park in Pasir Ris Street 21, Block 220A has more than 400 cars using it every day.

Linda Lye told STOMP via email today (Aug 9):

“The signboard on this car park exit is missing for weeks. About 400 cars drive out through this exit daily.

“An accident waiting to happen.

“The officer did nothing up since I’ve informed him verbally till now.

“Who will take responsibilities if there is a head-on accident?

“How come Pasir Ris Town Council could not be bothered on such daily inspections, or has it been overlooked?”
