Here’s a new way to ‘chope’ your seats at food courts — Leave your open newspaper on the table together with your keys, says STOMPer Andkid. He spotted it at Marina Square on National Day.
In an email yesterday (Aug 10) the STOMPer wrote:
“Woah, look at that! A key with an open newspaper, and no one’s sitting at the table.
“It was left there for more than 5 minutes before I saw an uncle come over and take a look. He then walked away again bringing a fork and spoon with him.
“Is this a new way to book seats with important items such as keys, so that others would not remove it.
“This happened at Marina Square on National Day at 7:00 pm (dinner time).
“The foodcourt was definitely packed, yet people like this inconsiderate uncle just booked a table with an open newspaper and keys to show that ‘I’ve been here’.
“So does this mean that we can book our seats next time with important items such as keys and that nobody will take away the seats?
“Think about it.”
